MSU's Veterinary Medical Technology Program is hosting a Fall Festival in honor of National Veterinary Technician Week. The event is set for Sunday [Oct. 9, from 1-6 p.m., at the Moncrief Dog Park in Starkville. Activities include free food (while supplies last), bake sale, trick or treat, face painting, costume contest for pets, fall pictures for families and pets, raffle baskets/door prizes, and much more. Various clubs and organizations also are participating, including MSU's Pre-Vet Club, Bayer, and Oktibbeha Humane Society.
This is a great opportunity for the public to learn more about the veterinary technician's (animal nurse's) role in protecting and caring for pets. It also is a great time to enjoy lots of games and activities, and spend time with your pets in an animal-friendly environment. Everyone is encouraged to come and bring pets. However, all animals must be kept on a leash and be up-to-date on their vaccinations. For more information, please contact Chelsea Boutwell at cmb758@msstate.edu. Flyer for more info
