Employee of the Month

You’ve probably seen Kathy Akins around the College—she’s been a familiar, smiling face in Custodial for a year and eight months, and that smile is due to a love of her work.  Kathy maintains that a positive attitude is important.  “I know what my standards are, and I’ve been committed to what I am supposed to do,” she says, adding: “ I like my work!”  An MSU employee for six years, Kathy and her husband have two daughters and one grandson, Zarmarion.  An avid fisher, Kathy also enjoys her church.
